Chlorella is one of the best known and most popular microalgae worldwide. With a wide range of vitamins and minerals, chlorella offers a range of health benefits for dogs. For example, improving skin and coat health, helping with digestive problems and supporting healthy digestion, detoxifying and strengthening the immune system, neutralizing odors and supporting joint health. The high nutrient density is particularly helpful for sick, weak and young animals.
The vitamins contained in chlorella play an important role in numerous metabolic processes and can support the immune system, bone formation, cell health and the nervous system. The algae is rich in minerals that contribute to bone health, electrolyte balance, muscle function and strengthening the immune system.
The unsaturated fatty acids it contains can help improve the dog's skin and coat.
Chlorella has a high content of chlorophyll - up to 3%, which can promote the absorption of iron and thus support the formation of red blood cells and the camouflage of oxygen in the body.
Since chlorella offers numerous health benefits, it can be a useful addition to your dog's daily diet. Chlorella is therefore often recommended as a BARF additive.
Feeding recommendation
To minimize or avoid possible side effects, it is recommended to choose the correct dosage, introduce chlorella slowly and gradually increase the dose over the course of the first week. This makes it easier for digestion to get used to the supplement. In most cases, chlorella is used in the form of a treatment (4 to 12 weeks). At the end of the treatment, the dose should be reduced just as slowly to avoid diarrhea or constipation.
Feeding recommandation
- Small dogs (up to 10 kg): 0.8 g to 1.2 g = 1 -1.5 heaped measuring spoon
- Medium dogs (10 - 25 kg): 1.2 g to 2.4 g = 1.5 - 3 heaped measuring spoons
- Large dogs (25-40 kg): 2.4 g to 4.8 g = 3 - 6 heaped measuring spoons
- Dogs over 40 kg: 4.8 g to 9.6 g = 6-12 heaped measuring spoons per day
One heaped measuring spoon (included) corresponds to 0.8 g of NEKTON Dog-Chlorella.

Storage:
NEKTON-Dog-Chlorella should be stored dry and out of sunlight, between 15°C and 25°C.
DO NOT STORE IN THE FRIDGE!!!
Keep away from children. Use within 3 months after opening.
